Landon Cassill finished 22nd in Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway.
The Xfinity Series season is winding down. After Texas, races remain at Phoenix, Ariz. and Homestead, Fla.
Cassill qualified 21st Saturday and raced as high as 19th on the super-fast TMS surface.
“We had a pretty good car but couldn’t keep up with the lead group over the second half of the race,” Cassill said. “Texas is a really fast track, and you have to be on your ‘A’ game. We learned a lot and will be in better shape next time.”
Cassill stayed 18th in Xfinity driver points.
