Biagi DenBeste Racing Adds Texas to Ryan Truex’s Schedule

Ryan Truex will pilot the No. 98 Carrol Shelby Engine Co. Ford Mustang for Biagi DenBeste Racing at Texas Motor Speedway. Truex raced with the NASCAR XFINITY team at Richmond, Charlotte and Kentucky earlier this year. The addition allows the team another opportunity to develop their intermediate track program. With the majority of the XFINITY Series schedule comprised of mile-and-a-half tracks, the No. 98 Ford team looks to add to their notebook in preparation for the 2016 season.

“It feels great to have another race added to my schedule,” says Truex. “I feel like we have some momentum after Charlotte, and I really enjoy working with Jon and the guys. Texas is a mile-and-a-half track that shares some similarities with Charlotte. I know the feel that we need in our Mustang to get a Top-10 run to close out the year. I really appreciate everyone at Biagi DenBeste Racing for giving me another chance to run this year.”

In Truex’s three starts this season, he has one Top-20 finish and two DNFs, but the results don’t tell the entire story. In both races with DNFs, Truex was running in the Top-10 when bad luck found the No. 98 Ford Mustang.

“Ryan has done an excellent job for us this year.” said Fred Biagi, Co-Owner of Biagi DenBeste Racing. “He performed well in each of his starts, and he showed us that he is a contender. We’re confident in his ability behind the wheel and are excited to give him another opportunity to race this year.”
