Ryan Reed Ready For Third ARCA Start With Lira Motorsports

NASCAR XFINITY Series regular Ryan Reed will return to the driver’s seat of the No. 38 Lira Motorsports Ford Fusion for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season finale at Kansas Speedway. He has captured wins in both of his previous starts for the team this year, at Kentucky Speedway in September and at Chicagoland Speedway in June.

 

After his win at Kentucky, the 22-year-old Bakersfield, Calif. native talked about his reasons for racing with Lira Motorsports in the ARCA Series:

 

“This being my second year in XFINITY, I feel I can add some experience and give good feedback. For me, it builds confidence. To go out there and win with these guys is so much fun. Honestly, I love driving race cars. Lira Motorsports is giving me a chance to drive their cars, and I really appreciate it.”

 

In June, Reed brought home Lira Motorsports’ first win at Chicagoland Speedway in dominating fashion, leading 70 out of 100 laps. The event marked Reed’s first career ARCA Racing Series victory as well, after recording six top-10 finishes in 14 starts during the 2012 season.  

 

Reed kicked of this year with a dramatic victory in the XFINITY season-opener at Daytona International Speedway. He is currently ranked tenth in the XFINITY championship standings.

 

Friday night’s Full Throttle S’loonshine 98.9 will be Reed’s second career ARCA Racing Series race at Kansas Speedway. In 2012, he recorded a 10th-place finish in the ARCA event at the track. Reed also has a 12th place finish in the NASCAR XFINITY Series at Kansas. He will follow up this year’s ARCA race with the NASCAR XFINITY Series Kansas Lottery 300 on Saturday at 4:00pm.

 

The primary sponsor on Reed’s ARCA Racing Series car will be Lilly Diabetes. Additionally, Lira Motorsports season-long partners Momo, Ford Performance and TraqGear, will serve as associate sponsors on the car.

 

The green flag for the The Full Throttle S’loonshine 98.9 is scheduled for 7:30pm, with live coverage on FOX Sports 1. ARCAracing.com will also feature live timing and scoring of all on-track activities.
