NXS: Austin Dillon Scores Drive for the Cure 300 Pole

Austin Dillon will lead the field to the green flag at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday. Dillon captured his fourth NASCAR XFINITY Series pole of the season behind the wheel of the No. 33 Rheem Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing. The North Carolina native earned the pole after posting a lap of 29.424 seconds, 183.524 mph. in the final round of knockout qualifying.

Kasey Kahne will start in the runner up position behind the wheel of the No. 88 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports. The Washington native was 0.023 seconds behind the pole sitter when the final round of qualifying ended. Kahne enters the weekend with three top five and three top 10 finishes.

Erik Jones will begin the Drive for the Cure 300 in the third starting position on Friday. Jones posted a time of 29.491 seconds, 183.107 mph. in the final round of knockout qualifying. Jones enters the weekend looking to capture his third win of the year in the series.

Kyle Busch will start in the fifth starting position behind the wheel of the No. 54 Monster Energy Toyota. Busch posted a time and speed of 29.653 seconds, 182.106 mph. in the final round of qualifying. The Las Vegas native has captured four victories throughout the 2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series season.

The No. 22 Discount Tire Ford of Brad Keselowski will start in the 13th starting position on Friday. Keselowski barely missed the final round of knockout qualifying when the second round came to a close. The No. 22 Ford enters the Charlotte Motor Speedway leading the owner point standings by 61 points over the No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.  

No drivers went home after qualifying as 40 showed up.
