NXS: Justin Marks to Compete in Two Races With HScott Motorsports With Chip Ganassi Racing

HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi Racing announced on Wednesday that Justin Marks will compete in two NASCAR XFINITY Series races in 2015. The road-course veteran will compete at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and Road America. The 34-year old has numerous starts all across numerous forms of motorsports.

“I am really looking forward to having Justin race the No. 42 Chevy Camaro at Road America and Mid-Ohio,” said team owner Harry Scott Jr. in a release. “Not only is he a very accomplished road-course racer, but he is also a great member of the HScott Motorsports family. I really enjoy working with him on and off of the track and know that he will do a great job for us in both races.”

Marks made two starts in the series last season at Mid-Ohio and Road America. He finished sixth at Mid-Ohio last season in the No. 31 Chevrolet owned by Steve Turner. Marks also made a start earlier this season in the season opener at the Daytona International Speedway. He took the No. 29 American Born Moonshine Toyota to a finish of 34th.

“I am very excited to return to the XFINITY Series with HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi,” said Marks in a release. “They have great people, great equipment and display great effort every time they’re on the track. I really love road-course racing and look forward to this great opportunity.”

Marks has 11 career starts in the NASCAR XFINITY Series since 2008. He has driven to only one top-10 finish in those starts. Marks is just one of the three drivers who will share the No. 42 Chevrolet this year as Brennan Poole and Kyle Larson are the other two drivers.
