JR Motorsports announced today that Axalta Coating Systems, a longtime associate partner and the team’s official paint supplier, will be featured on the No. 7 entry driven by Regan Smith in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) race at Phoenix International Raceway on March 14. The partnership will also coincide with Axalta’s entitlement sponsorship of the event, the Axalta Faster. Tougher. Brighter. 200.
“Axalta has been a valued part of our championship organization almost from the very beginning, and we are pleased to have Regan and the rest of the No. 7 team in Cromax colors at Phoenix,” said Kelley Earnhardt Miller, co-owner and general manager of JR Motorsports. “This is an excellent opportunity to further showcase Axalta’s industry-leading products on our race cars.”
A leading global provider of liquid and powder coatings, Axalta has partnered with JR Motorsports since 2008, supplying paint for its NXS teams, Camping World Truck Series entry and regional Late Models. Axalta has been a part of JRM’s 22 overall victories in NXS competition.

Smith is currently in his third season driving the No. 7 Chevrolet for JRM, where he has earned four wins. In four starts for the team at Phoenix, Smith holds one top-five and three top-10 finishes. The Axalta Faster. Tougher. Brighter. 200 will broadcast on Saturday, March 14, at 4 p.m. ET on FOX.
