NXS: Harvick Captures Hisense 250 Victory

JOPLIN, Mo. – Kevin Harvick captured the victory in the 24th annual Hisense 250 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday. Harvick, who started the event from the eighth position, earned his fourth victory at the 1.54-mile oval. The win surpases Mark Martin’s three total victories at the track. Harvick now holds 26 total wins in the NASCAR XFINITY Series.

Joey Logano, who earned the pole earlier on Saturday for the event, will take home the runner-up spot. Logano came into the race riding a wave of momentum after last weekend’s Daytona 500 victory. He finished 1.208 seconds behind Harvick in his 136th career XFINITY Series starts.

Ty Dillon will be the highest finishing XFINITY Series regular by bringing home a third-place finish. Dillon started the afternoon from the 17th position to earn his second top five finish of the brand-new year. A big gap of 4.002 seconds separated Dillon from his second XFINITY Series win..

Chris Buescher will leave Atlanta leading the series points standings tied with Ty Dillon. Last weekend’s winner, Ryan Reed, sits in the third spot heading into Las Vegas. Darrell Wallace Jr. and Dakota Armstrong round out the top five.

The NASCAR XFINITY Series will invade the Las Vegas Motor Speedway next Saturday for the Boyd Gaming 300. Race coverage will begin at 3:00 p.m. Et. on FOX Sports 1. The Performance Racing Network will carry the radio broadcast.
