The number 52 Toyota will have a new shoe going forward in the 2012 Sprint Cup season. The skilled veteran will make his debut for the team at Darlington in the Bojangles’ Southern 500. HMR’s Kelly Owen said “we are incredibility excited to have Mike come on board, he will certainly bring a great deal of knowledge and wisdom to our team’s efforts for the remainder of the season. Best of all he brings stability so that we can make our plans knowing that we a commitment from an experienced driver that can get the job done.” The #52 will be sponsored by Crusader’s Staffing at next weekend’s NASCAR event.

Mike Skinner’s successful 21 year career boasts 565 races, 29 wins, and 1 Series Championship spread across the 3 levels of NASCAR. The “Gun Slinger” has 282 Sprint Cup Series races with a qualifying average of 22nd place along with 6 poles. Mike competed in 21 races Sprint Cup races last season.
