Richard Petty Motorsports Hits the Road with Allstate Peterbilt Group

Richard Petty Motorsports and Allstate Peterbilt Group have joined forces for the 2013 NASCAR season. Allstate Peterbilt Group announced today they will supply Richard Petty Motorsports’ NASCAR Sprint Cup and NASCAR Nationwide Series teams with Peterbilt tractors.

Allstate Peterbilt Group has 17 locations throughout the Midwest and over forty years of experience supporting the Peterbilt line of products. The company will provide the teams with Peterbilt model 389 tractors, the flagship of premium traditional trucks, with aerodynamics that provide the team more fuel efficiency. The tractors will haul the race cars and race equipment of the No. 9 and No. 43 NASCAR Sprint Cup teams of Marcos Ambrose and Aric Almirola and the No. 43 NASCAR Nationwide team of Michael Annett.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to work with racing legend Richard Petty and his teams in 2013,” said Tom Wentworth, General Sales Manager for APG. “We are proud to be providing our premier Peterbilt model 389 tractors to transport the race team as they compete in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide events.”

With the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series 36-race schedule and the NASCAR Nationwide Series 33-race schedule, all three teams are spending a total of over 200,000 miles transporting each team’s cars and race equipment to each racetrack, making reliability a top-concern.

“We are excited to team up with Allstate Peterbilt Group,” commented Richard Petty, co-owner of Richard Petty Motorsports. “Similar to the Petty brand, Peterbilt is known for performance, reliability and pride, and it is comforting to know we can count on the reliability of Peterbilt and Allstate Peterbilt Group to help us deliver our race cars each and every weekend. Considering the amount of time our truck drivers spend on the road, it’s comforting to know they will be driving a quality product.”
