Hope For The Warriors® Joins NASCAR Driver Ryan Newman in Support of Rescue Ranch

Continuing their partnership with NASCAR driver Ryan Newman, Hope For The Warriors® played a key role in the Lock and Load for Land event held in Cornelius, N.C. this past weekend. The national nonprofit organization focuses on restoring self, family and hope by providing comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans and military families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement and connections to community resources. Supporting their relationship, the veteran nonprofit collaborated with Ryan and Krissie Newman on an event that benefited Rescue Ranch, the couple’s animal welfare charity in Statesville, N.C.

The Lock and Load for Land hosted more than 50 participants in the three-stage shooting competition on Saturday, December 12 at The Range at Lake Norman. With a focus on safety, Hope For The Warriors provided two retired U.S. Marines to work with shooters on shooting tips throughout the entire competition. Additionally, Hope For The Warriors invited a group of service members, veterans and military family members from Camp Lejeune, Cherry Point and the eastern North Carolina region to participate in the contest.

“Hope For The Warriors can’t thank Ryan Newman enough for his support of our organization,” said Travis Hanson, Senior Director of Sports and Recreation at Hope For The Warriors. “His support was instrumental in the growth of our Drive For Hope program, which allowed our organization to reach countless service members to bring to NASCAR races in 2015. He’s done so much to help us advance our mission, so it’s an honor to help him advance his mission at the Rescue Ranch. Ryan and Krissie are doing great things at Rescue Ranch; they’re doing important work within the animal welfare world and they’re filling a void within their community. Hope For The Warriors looks forward to working with Ryan and Krissie for many years to come.”

Executives from Hope For The Warriors first met Ryan Newman through a mutual business relationship three years ago. Since that time, they have developed a mutually beneficial partnership. While Newman assists Hope For The Warriors by doing private meet and greets with service members at NASCAR race events as a part of the organization’s Drive For Hope program, Hope For The Warriors supports Newman by assisting with the organization and execution of events like the annual Lock and Load for Land.
