FOX Sports 1 Rolls Into “Big June” on a NASCAR High Note

According to Nielsen Media Research, the NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES race from Dover, won by six-time champion and 10-time Dover winner Jimmie Johnson, scored 3,940,000 viewers, making it the fifth most-watched telecast in FOX Sports 1’s history and the second most-watched motor sports event on the network behind only the Martinsville Cup race earlier this year. Following the race, an 18-minute edition of FOX SPORTS LIVE tallied 2,772,000 viewers, making it the most-watched FOX SPORTS LIVE ever.  The race and FOX SPORTS LIVE were the two most-watched programs on ad-supported cable Sunday.

Preceding the Dover race, NASCAR RACEDAY delivered 936,000 viewers, a 61% increase from last year’s 582,000. Among Adults 18-49 (A18-49), the program nearly doubled last year’s audience (262k vs. 137k).

FOX NASCAR closes its portion of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racing season with three consecutive events on FOX Sports 1 — Pocono on Sunday, June 7 (1:00 PM ET), Michigan on Sunday, June 14 (1:00 PM ET) and Sonoma on Sunday, June 28 (3:00 PM ET).
