Reed Sorenson Gets Xtreme for the Daytona 500

Reed Sorenson is getting “xtreme” for the 2015 Daytona 500 as he joins John Cohen’s Team Xtreme Racing.

Sorenson joins the team after competing full-time with Tommy Baldwin Racing in 2014.

Heading into the sport’s most prestigious race of the season, Team Xtreme Racing is also proud to welcome Golden Corral onboard as primary sponsor of the No. 44 Chevrolet.

Returning to the organization to resume crew chief duties will be 20-year NASCAR veteran Peter Sospenzo.

“The 44 team has been hard at work over the offseason,” said owner John Cohen. “We have made some big steps to further our efforts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and it all begins at Daytona. Hiring Reed Sorenson to drive for us at the 500 was the right move for our team, he excels at restrictor plate racing and we are excited to get to Daytona.”

“The Daytona 500 is always an exciting time of year, I am really looking forward to racing with Team Xtreme for the biggest race of the year,” said Sorenson. “We’ve got a great looking Golden Corral Chevrolet and I want to see us feed some kids on Monday with the ‘Top 10 Kids Eat Free’ promotion.”
