Clint Bowyer, No. 15 PEAK Motor Oil Toyota Camry

It’s “PEAK WEEK” for Michael Waltrip Racing and Clint Bowyer. MWR and Bowyer welcome PEAK Motor Oil as the primary sponsor of the No. 15 Toyota Camry for this weekend’s Aaron’s 499 at Talladega Superspeedway. PEAK will serve as the No. 15’s primary sponsor carrying a BlueDEF Diesel Exhaust Fluid paint scheme at Daytona in July and a PEAK Antifreeze scheme at Chicagoland in September. PEAK also serves as a major associate sponsor in every race. PEAK’s commitment to the sport goes beyond paint schemes. PEAK’s commercials featuring Bowyer and Waltrip air during race broadcasts and this year the Northbrook, Ill company initiated the “PEAK Stock Car Dream Challenge, a search for the sport’s next star.

PEAK’s MWR debut could be memorable based on Bowyer’s history at Talladega. He won the fall races at 2010 and 2011 and moved to fifth in points last week with a second-place finish at Richmond.

TALLADEGA: “Talladega is like rolling the dice at a craps table – how do you do it, when you do it – are you going to get on a roll? I mean, that’s exactly the way it is. Everybody has a shot at winning. Everybody has the same dice. You just have to have a lucky roll, lucky push and just get up there. That’s really what it’s come down to. Obviously you have a lot to do with it and you can put your money on the line at the right time and better your odds, but at the end of the day you still have to have a little bit of luck to see everything through. I’m looking forward to it. We’ve been on a roll here recently with our race team and we’re hoping to get through Talladega here with a good finish – if not a win – and keep digging.”

PEAK: “PEAK has been involved in major motorsports for as long as I can remember and they are also doing great things to promote racing at the grassroots level – like the PEAK Stock Car Dream Challenge. The PEAK Stock Car Dream Challenge is an opportunity for an up-and-coming racer to get in front of the right audience and catch that big break. I remember getting that call and I’m thankful every day that I made the most of my opportunities. This is a chance for someone else to do the same thing. We’ve got some great submissions so far – from young kids running at their local short tracks, to folks that watch races every weekend and think ‘why not me?’ I think it’s great and I look forward to working on the project and judging some of the talent.”
