Sara Evans To Serve As Headliner For Great American Pre-Race Spectacular at Texas

 

Country music star Sara Evans, who has gained popularity with five No. 1 singles on the country charts, will headline the Great American Pre-Race Spectacular at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 13 prior to the NRA 500 NASCAR Sprint Sup Series race.

 

Evans, whose latest album, “Stronger” debuted at No. 1 atop the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, will take the stage on the frontstretch at 4:30 p.m. CT and perform an hour-long concert that will lead into the NRA 500, which is set for 6:30 p.m.

 

During a prolific, multi-platinum, 16-year recording career, Evans has sold

nearly six million records and has been honored with numerous accolades including the 2006 Academy of Country Music Awards Top Female Vocalist as well as the Female Vocalist of the Year by Radio & Records magazine.  She also was recognized in People Magazine’s 

“50 Most Beautiful People,” alongside Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry and Heidi Klum, among others, in 2005.  Evans also became the first country music star to compete in ABC’s Dancing with the Stars television show.

 

Evans’ first single “A Little Bit Stronger” on her latest album “Stronger” spent two weeks at No. 1 on the country music charts and is a certified platinum single. “Stronger,” which was released in 2011, features six songs that Evans co-wrote and she has been busy writing more songs for her seventh studio album that will be released in late spring/early summer.  Evans also has authored three fictional novels for Thomas Nelson Publishers, The Sweet By and By, Softly and Tenderly, and Love Lifted Me.

 

Fans can get up to all the entertainment of the Great American Pre-Race Spectacular with Sara Evans with a special $79 “mosh pit” ticket. The special ticket, which must be accompanied by an NRA 500 grandstand ticket, provides fans exclusive access stage-side for all the pre-race festivities leading up to the NRA 500, including the concert and driver introductions.
