Super Weekend Schedule Set With NASCAR Nationwide Date July 27 At IMS

The schedule for the 2013 Kroger Super Weekend at the Brickyard is complete as the Indiana 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race will take place Saturday, July 27 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

NASCAR released the 2013 Nationwide Series schedule Nov. 13.

The Indiana 250 is one of four races in three days among four series during the second annual Kroger Super Weekend at the Brickyard at IMS. The racing schedule:

Friday, July 26: GRAND-AM Road Racing Brickyard Grand Prix (Rolex Sports Car Series) and Brickyard Sports Car Challenge (Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge)
Saturday, July 27: Indiana 250 (NASCAR Nationwide Series)
Sunday, July 28: Crown Royal presents the “Your Hero’s Name Here” 400 at the Brickyard (NASCAR Sprint Cup Series)

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice and qualifying and Nationwide Series qualifying will precede the Indiana 250 on Saturday, July 27.

An interesting mix of rising young talent and established NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stars is expected to race in the Indiana 250. Current Sprint Cup Series points leader Brad Keselowski won the inaugural Indiana 250 in July, followed by IMS fan favorite Sam Hornish Jr. and Ty Dillon, the grandson of three-time Brickyard 400-winning car owner Richard Childress.

The Indiana 250 is the 19th of 33 races on the 2013 Nationwide Series schedule. The race also is the final event in the four-race “Dash 4 Cash” program presented by NASCAR and Nationwide Insurance. Drivers can earn significant bonuses through strong finishes in the four “Dash” races, with a lucky fan also earning a cash bonus through a sweepstakes.
