Multiplatinum rock band Hinder to play pre-race concert prior to Cam-Am 500

Fans attending the Can-Am 500 on Sunday, Nov. 13 at Phoenix Raceway will be entertained with live music before the start of the race as multi-platinum rock group Hinder will perform a pre-race concert in the Fan Midway area at 10:30 a.m. MST.

The concert, which resulted from a partnership between PIR and Niner Sports & Entertainment, is just one part of race day excitement that is free to all fans with a grandstand ticket for the Can-Am 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

The Can-Am 500 is the final race in the Round of 8 of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. After the race, the field of championship contenders will be trimmed from eight hopefuls to the final four drivers – the “Phoenix 4” – that will race for the championship the next week.

Hailing from Oklahoma City, the group includes vocalist Marshal Dutton, guitarist Joe “Blower” Garvey, guitarist Mark King, bassist Mike Rodden and drummer Cody Hanson.

The group led the wave of anthemic rock in 2005 with the release of Extreme Behavior featuring global hit singles like “Lips of an Angel” and “Get Stoned.” In 2007, Hinder was honored by officially being inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. With over a decade-long career, and tours with Aerosmith and Papa Roach, the band will showcase a new sound as they perform for fans at the Can-Am 500.

The fall race at PIR has sold out each of the previous five years and tickets for the race are selling faster than ever, but good seats are available online at PhoenixRaceway.com or by phone at 1-866-408-RACE (7223).
