Talladega Superspeedway’s 2017 Weekend Start Times Set

Talladega Superspeedway, NASCAR’s Most Competitive track, announced today the starting times and television networks that will showcase its 2017 NASCAR weekends.

Next spring’s double header will feature the Sparks Energy 300 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) race on Saturday, May 6, with a green flag of 12 Noon CDT and the GEICO 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race on Sunday, May 7, which is set for 1 p.m. CDT. Both events are scheduled to be televised on FOX and heard on Motor Racing Network (MRN).

In the fall of 2017, the excitement begins Saturday, Oct. 14, at 12 Noon CDT with the fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS), which will be televised by FOX. The weekend will culminate with the Sunday, Oct. 15, Alabama 500 for the NSCS and will be televised by NBC at 1 p.m. CDT. Both races, which will also be carried on MRN, will be pivotal Chase races in the battle for both series’ championships.

There is, however, more racing for fans to witness at the biggest and baddest track on the planet in 2016, and tickets are available. Both the fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola (Saturday, Oct. 22) and the Alabama 500 (Sunday, Oct. 23), will serve as elimination races in the NCWTS Chase and the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, respectively.
