In The O’Reilly Auto Parts Pro Late Models, Stoutland’s JC Newell maintains the current point lead over defending NASCAR Missouri State Champion Kaleb Allison of Mexico. The action and battle for 3rd place through 10th only has a 100 point gap as seven different drivers have won in eight feature events. This has been one of the most competitive years ever known in the Pro Late Model class and several top drivers are still after their first feature event win in 2015.

For Budweiser Modified point leader Tim Swearengin of Springfield, four 2nd places, and four 3rd place finishes has the veteran in the lead but still starving to get in the winner’s circle for the first time in 2015. Last week, defending NASCAR Missouri State Champion, Stephen Counterman found that lucky rabbit foot as Counterman dominated the feature event ending his hard-luck season. The much awaited battle for the lead between 5 time race winner Ricky Icenhower, 2 time race winner and 3-time track champion David Bates as wells as current point leader and past Pro Late Model track champion Tim Swearengin never really developed as Counterman stole the show. The Modifieds will use this week as a warm-up for the Thursday Night Thunder event on Aug. 13th featuring the Roper Family Classic with special guest NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace as everyone places extra efforts on these 2 events. Point’s runner-up Richard Lewis still maintains his spot despite being just a tick off the last 2 races.

For Hoosier Racing Tire Street Stock point leader Jordan Nisbett of Lebanon, the level of competition continues to rise as Lebanon’s David Douglas became the sixth different winner out of eight events held this season. “Papa Drake” Les Mallard stays within 100 points of the top spot while Zack Morgan sneaks into 3rd place. Lebanon Ironman Chris Johnson who runs both the Street Stock and Modified class seems to be turning the corner as a 2nd place in the Street Stock event and a late race surge top 5 in the Modified feature has his season going in the right direction. Add fast moving Nick Cherry, veteran Rick Sharp, hard charging female driver Lauren Buhr, and last year’s Rookie of The Year Tony Johnson and it’s making this class very popular week after week.

Sportsman Driver “The Gentle Giant” JC Newell maintains a slim 29 point lead over Lebanon’s Aaron Douglas. Last week’s winner “Little” JC Newell lead the family in a 1, 2, 3 sweep as Ben Newell took home a 3rd place showing. Aaron has had some mechanical problems the last couple of races and the crew will be working hard on his car while the Fohn family hopes to get back on track as the class continues to grow with some great racing.

Coca-Cola Charger Ben White of Rolla saw his three race win streak come to a halt with Jesse Poindexter getting is 1st ever win. White and 2013 Champion Jimmy Poindexter are only separated by 10 points as Jimmy has six heat race wins along with two feature wins while White has five feature events and a two heat race wins. Luke Oster and Cory Nutt enjoyed their best finishes last week and keep improving while front running Nik Taylor fought wheel bearing problems last week and feels a win is getting close.

Gates in the Grandstands, Fan Deck and Budweiser “Wildside” open at 3pm with NASCAR testing to begin at 3:30. Activities and games will be going on the midway all afternoon and admission is only $20 a carload for this special event. The Monster Energy Freestyle Moto Cross Stunt Team will kick-off the program at 5:15 with racing to begin at 6pm.
