Matt Brannock Promoted To Vice President At Martinsville

Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell announced today that Matthew Brannock has been promoted to Vice President, Operations.

It was one of two promotions and a new hire announced by Campbell.

Ashley Oakes has been promoted to Marketing Coordinator while Heather Motley has been hired as a ticket agent.

Brannock, a Ridgeway native, joined the speedway as Director of Operations in 2011 after a 12-year career with the Virginia State Police.

“In a short time Matt has improved Martinsville Speedway’s operations department greatly,” said Campbell. “The focus he has given the safety and security area of our events has taken that aspect to another level. On a daily basis, and in particular event weeks, I’m confident we have one of the best operations departments in the business, much to the credit of Matt’s dedication and desire.”

“With these promotions and new hire I believe, as I have said many times in the past, we continue to have the best staff in racing.”

Brannock is a member of the 2014 NASCAR Services Event Standards Development Committee; a member of the ISC Severe Weather Preparedness Committee; and presently chairs the Martinsville Speedway Event Traffic Management Committee in association with representatives from Virginia State Police, Virginia Department of Transportation and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

He was awarded the 2013 Professional of the Year award by the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security for outstanding progress towards providing a safe and secure environment for fans and the 2013 Facility of Merit award for outstanding achievements in Facility Preparedness and Operations.

Brannock, a 1993 graduate of Magna Vista High School in Ridgeway, is married and has two children.

Oakes, who joined Martinsville Speedway earlier this year as a ticket agent, has been promoted to Marketing Coordinator. She will play a key role in the tracks day-to-day and event weekend marketing functions.

Oakes is a 2003 graduate of Laurel Park High School and attended Patrick Henry Community College. She is married and has one child.

Motley, a resident of the Martinsville area, will assist in daily operation of the speedway’s ticket office and provide customer service to fans. She is married and has two children.
