Phoenix International Raceway branded Arizona license plate now available

NASCAR fans in Arizona can now officially share their passion for motorsports with a new auto accessory, courtesy of a new Phoenix International Raceway-designed Arizona license plate.

The license plate, featuring PIR’s distinctive light-blue mountain scape background and the traditional PIR and NASCAR logos, is now available from the Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles. A portion of the sale of each license plate and yearly renewal will benefit PIR’s non-profit organization, Phoenix Raceway Charities.

“We are thrilled to be able to help race fans show their NASCAR pride with this license plate and to support a great cause in the process,” said PIR President Bryan R. Sperber. “The idea for a custom plate was spurred by fan requests, so we are proud to make this available to them. The plates also create a wonderful legacy from our 50th Anniversary that will last well beyond this year.”

Arizona residents may purchase the new PIR plate for $25 at any DMV location, or online at www.ServiceArizona.com. For each PIR plate purchased, $17 will be donated to Phoenix Raceway Charities.

When Arizonans apply for their new PIR special plate, their vehicle registration expiration date will remain the same. The annual special plate fee of $25 will be charged at the time of each registration renewal, or $50 for a personalized special plate ($25 for the plate plus $25 for personalization).

Phoenix Raceway Charities is a 501(c)(3) donor advised fund under The NASCAR Foundation.
