NHMS Unveils Jimmie Johnson Ticket Package

Already having built one of the most impressive résumés in NASCAR history, six-time defending Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson will spend his race morning with fans of all ages in an exclusive Q&A opportunity and a Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinic for children before the Camping World RV Sales 301 on Sunday, July 13 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Johnson, the last Sprint Cup Series driver to win back-to-back races at the Magic Mile, is offering fans an opportunity for special ticket buyers to attend a Q&A and a special build-a-car workshop for children.

The $48 ticket package will include either two children’s grandstand tickets or one adult grandstand ticket along with access to a special 15-minute Q&A session with Johnson. For each children’s ticket, a Lowe’s Build & Grow kit will be included for a hands on opportunity to build a wooden replica of the No. 48 Kobalt race car. A limited quantity of Build & Grow kits will be available on a first come/first serve basis, and will include aprons, goggles and hammers for assembly.

“This is absolutely one of the best ticket-buys you can make,” said Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and general manager of the speedway. “This is truly a great opportunity for children to meet and get hands-on with the best driver in our sport today, and for our adult fans to get up close and personal with a six-time champion.”

For fans that have already purchased tickets to the Camping World RV Sales 301, a special $48 add-on package is available, which includes two adult and two children’s tickets and admission to the Jimmie Johnson Q&A. For families with more than two children, a $6 ticket is available for each additional child, which will include a Lowe’s Build & Grow kit while supplies last.

“We are always looking for ways to offer fans, and especially families, affordable ways to attend races,” said Johnson, the defending NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion.  “Being a father of two girls, I really enjoy opportunities to interact with children and look forward to seeing the kids doing the Build and Grow clinic and answering their questions.”

Johnson has three wins, including a 2003 season sweep, in 24 career starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. A 2010 July winner at the Magic Mile, Johnson has 17 top-10s, including nine top-fives, and a 9.2 average finishing position.

Access to the Q&A session will run from 10:25-10:40 a.m.
