Jackson Back in NASCAR K&N Pro Series East for Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 140

Ireland’s own Ali Jackson will once again strap in his seatbelts of his #73 Creation Cope Racing Celtic Waste Dodge Charger this weekend as the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East returns to the Greenville Pickens Speedway for the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 140.  The series will be attempting to run the event for the second time as the originally scheduled date was washed out in the beginning of September.  With Jackson being the only Irish-born driver in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, any statistical category within racing is up for grabs and with a good run would land the Glengormley, Northern Ireland native in the NASCAR record books forever.  As preparations for the 2013 campaign begin, the 23-year old Jackson looks to end his 2012 campaign with a top-notch finish in his fifth career start versus the highly-talented NASCAR K&N Pro Series.

“I’m looking forward to this weekend’s event at Greenville Pickens Speedway” Jackson said.  “It’s going to be a tough race as qualifying was locked in based on Owner’s Points Standings and for that we don’t have many because of our limited campaign.  It will be fun coming through the field as well as avoiding other people’s wrecks which seems to happen quite often on these short tracks!  The #73 Celtic Waste Dodge felt good in our last test session so I’m ready to go!”

The festivities at the Greenville Pickens Speedway will begin on Saturday, October 27th with a practice session at 2:30PM ET.  Due to the fact that this is make-up date for the event there will be no qualifying and the starting grid will be set by the rulebook.  The green flag is expected to drop around 8:00PM ET.  Come on down Saturday night as Jackson gets behind the wheel of his #73 Creation Cope Racing Celtic Waste Dodge Charger.
