Team Stange Racing Returns to the NASCAR K&N PRO SERIES at the famous Greenville Pickens Speedway

Team Stange Racing announced today its return to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series with rookie sensation John Alan Gustafson behind the wheel of the beautifully prepared Red number 45 Team Stange Chevy for this weekend’s Whitaker Chevy 140 at the world famous Greenville Pickens Speedway in Greenville, South Carolina.

John Alan Gustafson is a 4rth generation race car driver that started his career at the age of 5 racing Karts then on to Mini Sprints to currently racing Super Late Models and Super Trucks. John has raced many tracks both asphalt and dirt and is very familiar with Greenville Pickens Speedway as he has tested there many times in the Super Late Models and Super Trucks. John’s heritage has deep roots as his father is Alan Gustafson the Legendary Crew Chief on the 24 Sprint Cup Car driven by the likes of Jeff Gordon and now Chase Elliott and is also the grandson of legendary Driver Development Master and race car driver Gary Moore.

“Grandpa” Gary Moore will be John’s crew chief. Gary has been racing for 45 years and has raced at the Asheville Speedway and other local tracks until the inception of the Baby Grand Series that eventually became the NASCAR GOODY’S DASH SERIES until NASCAR dissolved the series in 2003. Gary was instrumental in developing the diversity program for drivers and crewmembers as well as teaching and helping Alan Gustafson improve his skills before moving onto being a crew chief in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for Hendrick Motorsports.
