Credit One Bank to Honor U.S.VETS During NASCAR®: An American Salute at Coke Zero 400 at Daytona

This Independence Day weekend, Credit One Bank showcases its continued commitment to U.S.VETS, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing transitional and permanent housing, counseling and employment services to at-risk and homeless veterans. As part of NASCAR: An American Salute, Credit One Bank will support veterans by issuing a donation-matching challenge to NASCAR fans. In addition, Credit One Bank will salute veterans by featuring the U.S.VETS logo on the No. 1 Credit One Bank Chevrolet SS piloted by Jamie McMurray at the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway on July 2.

Credit One Bank is dedicated to assisting U.S.VETS with their mission of successfully transitioning military veterans and their families through an array of comprehensive services, and encourages all NASCAR fans to show support on this Fourth of July race weekend by making donations directly to U.S.VETS at www.usvetsinc.org. Credit One Bank will match all web donations made throughout the weekend, up to $15,000, with $0.89 of every dollar going directly to veteran services and programs.

“We’ve supported our local U.S.VETS chapter in Las Vegas for several years, and have seen firsthand the assistance it provides to veterans in need,” said Laura Faulkner, vice president of marketing communications, Credit One Bank. “The NASCAR: An American Salute initiative is the perfect platform to showcase the benefits of this organization on a national scale. We’re proud to highlight U.S.VETS on the Credit One Bank car this weekend and give back to those who have given so much.”

Prominently featured on the No. 1 Credit One Bank Chevrolet SS, the U.S.VETS logo will be spotlighted on the deck lid, as well as inside the cockpit where NBC Sports cameras will broadcast McMurray’s quest for the checkered flag to millions of fans throughout the race.

“I’m excited to be driving the Credit One Bank Chevy again this weekend at Daytona and I think the support that Credit One Bank is extending to U.S.VETS is outstanding,” said McMurray. “No veteran who has made sacrifices for our country should have to face homelessness. I’m proud to have U.S.VETS  on our car for the Coke Zero 400.”

As part of its ongoing community outreach program, Credit One Bank supports veterans through grants, sponsorship, fundraising and volunteerism. Most recently, the bank has been working with U.S.VETS—Las Vegas and HomeAid Southern Nevada on a $434,000 commercial kitchen remodel to better serve meals to formerly homeless veterans now living at the U.S.VETS—Las Vegas residential facility.

“We are always extremely appreciative of Credit One Bank’s support, and we’re thrilled to be included on the Credit One Bank car this weekend,” said Shalimar Cabrera, executive director, U.S.VETS—Las Vegas. “We know how supportive NASCAR fans can be, and we look forward to the excitement of the Coke Zero 400 race and sharing the value of U.S.VETS with them.”

NASCAR: An American Salute is an industry-wide effort to honor and celebrate the service of members of the United States Armed Forces, veterans and their families.
