Hemric and Wauters Motorsports Team Up to Tackle 44th Annual Winchester 400

Daniel Hemric will pilot the No. 5H First Community Bank of Santa Rosa Wauters Motorsports Toyota Camry in the 44th Annual Winchester 400 Sunday, October 11, 2015 in the ARCA/Champion Racing Association (CRA) Super Series event.

Hemric has a fifth place finish in the Winchester 400 in 2013 on the high-banked asphalt ½ mile oval in Winchester, Indiana and he and the Wauters team look to capture the win this weekend.  The duo participated in the CRA Super Series Winchester 100 in September where Hemric posted a second place finish.

“I can’t wait to get to Winchester Speedway this weekend,” Daniel Hemric said. “Winchester is somewhere that I’ve had a lot of success at in the past, but have never been able to put the whole 400 laps together to get the win. I had a good test session at the 100-lap race a few weeks ago and I think we’ve made our whole program better. I’m really thankful to First Community Bank of Santa Rosa for their support to run this race; I’m excited to get to run for the gun again.”

Hemric would love to take the Winchester Riffle trophy home this weekend but there will be stiff competition with former Winchester 400 winners Chase Elliot and Erik Jones entered in the grueling 400 lap race.

“There are a lot of really good cars entered this weekend but we are really confident in the First Community Bank/Five Star Stockcar Bodies Camry we put together for Daniel (Hemric),” Wauters Motorsports owner, Richie Wauters said.  “Daniel is an accomplished driver in anything he gets in and I know he will run his hardest to bring home a win in the prestigious event.”

Practice at Winchester Speedway will begin on Friday, with additional practice and qualifying on Saturday with the 44th Annual Winchester 400 slated to begin at 2:00pm.
