Eggleston Looks To Return To Victory Lane At Home Track

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West travels this week to Colorado National Speedway for the NAPA AUTO PARTS / Toyota 150 on Saturday.

The 3/8-mile track just north of Denver is the home track of Chris Eggleston, who drives the Bill McAnally Racing No. 99 NAPA Filters/H2O Fire Protection Toyota.

A year ago, Eggleston arrived at the track preparing for his first race with BMR and just his second series start overall. He took home the winning trophy that night, and in doing so captured a lot of attention. He returns this year atop the championship standings in the K&N Pro Series West. He has two wins, six top-five and seven top-10 finishes in nine races.

Eggleston is coming off a third-place finish Saturday at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington.

“That definitely helped get our momentum back,” Eggleston said. “Going to Colorado, I’m confident we can have a good run in our NAPA Filters Toyota. We look forward to another strong finish. ”

Eggleston’s BMR teammate, Brandon McReynolds, also ran well at Colorado last year in the No. 16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota and came away with a fifth-place finish. In what’s been an up-and-down year for the 24-year-old Mooresville, North Carolina driver – McReynolds is looking for another top-five finish get him on track for a strong run through the final four races of the season.

McReynolds is eighth in points, with two wins and five top-10 finishes.

Overall, BMR has been to Victory Lane at Colorado National Speedway four times. In addition to Eggleston’s win there last year, BMR won there in 2008 and 2010 with Eric Holmes and in 2009 with Paulie Harraka.

The BMR team will get the weekend started early in the Denver area with a special visit to Cheteau Fox Meadows on Friday. A big day is slated for NAPA at the track on Saturday, with special garage tours and a big NAPA Hospitality planned for more than 900.
