Grant Enfinger Dominates and Wins at Berlin Raceway

Grant Enfinger and the No. 23 Allegiant Travel, Alamo Rent A Car Chevrolet team earned their fourth victory of the 2015 ARCA series season Saturday night at Berlin Raceway in the Federated Auto Parts 200. This victory marks the second year in a row Enfinger has won at Berlin Raceway. Enfinger posted the fastest qualifying time earlier in the day making it his second pole award of the year.

The Fairhope, Ala., native led nearly all 200 laps of the event.  On lap 54 the second caution occurred, and the Jeff Stankiewicz-led team made minimal air pressure adjustments during the two tire pit stop to help loosen the tight handling conditions on the Chevrolet.  Enfinger then took the restart on lap 60 and led until the next caution on lap 145, where he brought his car down pit road for four fresh Hoosier tires and Sunoco racing fuel.

Enfinger led through an ensuing green-white-checker finish to his fourth victory of 2015 in the No. 23 Allegiant Travel, Alamo Rent A Car Chevrolet.

“We had one fast Allegiant Travel, Alamo Rent A Car Chevrolet here tonight,” stated Enfinger. “The good Lord was watching over us today for sure and I thank Him. Restarts were definitely my strong suit here at Berlin Raceway. Our GMS Racing team topped both practice sessions, earned the pole award and the win, and brought a car home in one piece today. It could not have gotten any better. I cannot thank my crew, Allegiant Travel, WURTH USA, Portable Shade USA and Chevrolet enough for all of their support.”

The GMS Racing team heads to Springfield, Ill. in two weeks for the Allen Crowe 100, with a 225 point lead over second place No. 98 Austin Wayne Self.
