Levine Looks To Carry Pocono Momentum To Berlin Raceway

For the 12th time this year, David Levine, the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Scott Rookie Challenge points leader, is headed to a track he has never seen before. The Highland Park, IL driver is gearing up for a trip to the other side of Lake Michigan, where Berlin Raceway will host the Federated Auto Parts 200.

Berlin Raceway is a 0.4375 mile long paved oval race track in Marne, Michigan, near Grand Rapids. David enters the race with top 10 finishes in four of the seven short tracks that the ARCA Series has visited thus far this year. Berlin is notable for the lack of an outside wall on the back straightaway, as well as for short straights, making the track feel almost circular. David will have two 45-minute practice sessions in his No. 59 Momo / Ford Performance / TraqGear Ford Fusion to familiarize himself with the track prior to qualifying.

With only six races left in the 2015 ARCA Racing Series season, David finds himself 5th in the driver point standings. He is equally spaced, at about a 200 point difference, between the 4th and 6th place drivers. Two-hundred points is the amount awarded to a race winner in the ARCA Racing Series. In the Scott Rookie Challenge standings, finishing 6th at Pocono extended David’s lead, which he has held for the majority of the season.

David Levine on racing at Berlin Speedway: “I’m looking forward to carrying our momentum from last weekend on to Berlin. Our finish at Pocono was truly a great rebound from a pretty terrible outcome at Lucas Oil Raceway the week before. I’ve never been to Berlin before, so I’ll be focusing on learning it as quickly as I can. We will have a strong Momo / Ford Performance / TraqGear Ford Fusion this weekend – Hopefully we can go out and get our first top five for the 59 team. We’ve been so close several times this year!”

Get David’s autograph and a DriveForHeart.org stress ball: David will be signing hero cards during the on-track autograph session between 8:00-8:30pm. He’ll also be giving away some DriveForHeart.org heart-shaped stress balls to raise awareness about congenital heart defects and let race fans know how important living a healthy lifestyle is at any age, so be sure to stop by!
