David Levine Ready To Take On The “Tricky Triangle”

Highland Park, IL racer David Levine has experience on many different kinds of race tracks, but Saturdays Pocono ARCA 200 will be his first time racing on a triangle. Pocono Raceway, in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, is known as “The Tricky Triangle” because of its unique, three-turn layout. To familiarize himself with the 2.5 mile track, the Scott Rookie Challenge points leader has been practicing on iRacing, and is participating in the ARCA open test on June 3rd.

“It’s not only the shape of the track that makes Pocono so different from other tracks, it’s that the three turns are not identical, and the three straights are not the same length,” David commented. “Many drivers compare Pocono to racing at a road course. I’m looking forward to experiencing it for myself.”

David will enter the eighth race of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season fifth in series driver points standings. He is leading the series Scott Rookie Challenge standings. His Lira Motorsports number 59 Ford Fusion will carry sponsorship from Momo, TraqGear and Ford Performance. I’ve been using iRacing as much as I can this week to get myself familiar with the track, but I think the test day will be very helpful in truly learning the triangle layout before race day. Hopefully we can finish this weekend well!”
