Nelson Piquet Jr wins Visa Fastest Lap trophy at Formula E DHL Berlin EPrix - Speedway Digest

Nelson Piquet Jr today became the second winner of the Visa Fastest Lap following a nail-biting race at the DHL Berlin ePrix. Nelson produced a time of 1 minute 24.435 seconds on his last lap around the 2.469km circuit.

The anti-clockwise layout, designed by Rodrigo Nunes within the ‘Apron’ section of the former Tempelhof Airport in Berlin, saw 20 Formula E drivers, battling to get the fastest lap time.

Suzy Brown, Director of Sponsorships, presented Nelson with a handcrafted, brushed steel Visa Fastest Lap trophy that mimicked the exact shape of the Berlin circuit.

Visa Europe recently added its name to an impressive list of leading international companies to partner with the FIA Formula E Championship. The leading European payment provider was announced as a new multi-race sponsor, becoming the official payment services partner for Monaco, Berlin and London.

The next Formula E race takes place on June 06 2015 in Moscow, with the championship finale on June 27/28 2015 in London.
