Bryan Herta Rallysport in partnership with River Racing are proud to announce 20-year old Collete Davis has been signed by the team as Red Bull Global Rallycross Lites Series driver.
“Collete Davis and River Racing presented us with a very exciting opportunity to expand our Red Bull Global Rallycross team into the Lites Series,” stated Herta. “Everything has come together in the last few days, but from the first conversation we knew this would be a great addition to our team. We look forward to working with Collete as she takes on a new driving challenge, and working with River Racing to build a winning program.”
Davis, who is making a transition from open-wheel formula cars will join BHR through an association with River Racing and Rothenberg Ventures.
“I’ve known Bryan for years now through my open-wheel racing career in the IndyCar ladder series,” added Davis. “We’ve looked at working together before, and it’s finally come to fruition in the Red Bull Global Rallycross Series. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have a program with River Racing that’s supported by Bryan Herta Rallysport.”
“My expectations for this season are to develop as a GRC driver and learn as much as I can. Coming from open-wheel racing there are a lot of habits I need to change and new habits I need to learn. I’m looking forward to the transition and the challenge this series presents. I’ve always been a huge fan of GRC and can’t wait to start on this path.”
Co-Founded by veteran driver Bryan Herta and Sean Jones of 7R, Inc., Bryan Herta Rallysport (BHR) will debut in the 2015 Red Bull Global Rallycross Series. Herta is best known as a winning IndyCar driver and owner of Bryan Herta Autosport, the 2011 Indianapolis 500 championship team.
