Kenny Mathews Driving for Kimmel Racing at Madison Int’l Speedway

A change of plans has been made for rookie driver Kenny Mathews this weekend at Madison Int’l Speedway. Mathews will now enter in the Herr’s Live Life with Flavor 200 with Kimmel Racing in the No. 69 Epilepsy Foundation Ford Fusion.

Kimmel Racing has a rich racing history starting with Bill Kimmel Sr. who held over 500 feature wins and 12 track championships. From there, Bill Kimmel Jr., who is now head of Kimmel Racing, was the crew chief for eight of Frank Kimmel’s ARCA Championships. Following in Bill Kimmel Jr.’s foot steps is his son, Will Kimmel, who is now an active driver in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and in the ARCA Racing Series.

Sunday’s race will be broadcasted live on CBS Sports Networks at 2pm CT. Practice begins on Saturday, August 23 from 1-1:45pm CT, with a final practice session from 2:15-3pm CT. Menard’s Pole Qualifying will begin at 4:30pm. Practice, qualifying and race day coverage will be available on www.arcaracing.com. Updates throughout the weekend on Mathews can be viewed on his Facebook page.

An on-track autograph session will take place on Sunday, August 24 from 12-1pm. The Epilepsy Foundation will also have an information booth set up outside the track on race day. Stop by and learn about the organization!
