Kyle Larson NNS Preview: Michigan International Speedway

Hills of Michigan…The No. 32 Cessna team heads into Michigan International Speedway (MIS) with Kyle Larson looking to continue the momentum from last weekend’s top-five run at Iowa Speedway. As a team, Turner Scott Motorsports has had success at MIS, with a runner-up finish in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) and a win in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series last season. Although this will be Larson’s first NNS race at MIS, he previously raced at the 2.0-mile oval in the ARCA Racing Series in 2012, starting seventh and finishing 13th.

This Week’s Camaro…This weekend, the No. 32 team will bring back chassis TSM-402 at MIS. TSM-402 most recently took to the track at Charlotte Motor Speedway last month. After starting in the 18th spot, Larson worked his way up to fourth place, earning one of his three top 5s of the 2013 season.

Flying High…Cessna will return to the No. 32 Chevy Camaro as primary sponsor this weekend at MIS. Cessna, the world’s leading general aviation company, has designed, produced and delivered more than 193,500 airplanes around the globe. This includes more than 6,300 Citation business jets, making it the largest fleet of business jets in the world.

Previous Race Recap…Larson’s impressive rookie season continued as he brought home a fifth-place finish in the rain-delayed DuPont Pioneer 250, his first NNS race at Iowa Speedway. Larson’s No. 32 VIZIO/Hulu Plus Chevrolet Camaro was fast right off the truck, and the 20-year-old driver qualified 10th after two successful practice sessions. He remained in the top 10 throughout the 250-lap race and gained several spots in the closing laps, earning his fourth-consecutive top-ten finish and his third top-five finish of the season.

Watch and Listen…The Alliance Truck Parts 250 can be seen live on Saturday, June 15th on ABC. Race coverage will begin at 2:00 p.m. EDT. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90 starting at 1:45 p.m. EDT.

Kyle Larson on Michigan International Speedway

“We’ve had some really great runs lately, and I’m glad we were able to continue that at Iowa. I’m looking forward to getting to Michigan; I think our Cessna team will be good there. I like the style of racing that Michigan offers, with the high speeds and lots of room to move around, so it should be a fun race.”
