Danica Patrick to Run for Turner Motorsports in Nationwide Series, Cale Gale Becomes Crew Chief

Danica Patrick will run ten Nationwide races for Turner Motorsports in the 2013 season according to sources. Patrick ran the entire 2012 season with four top ten finishes in 33 starts.

The news comes just a day after Patrick’s former team, JR Motorsports, announced that they will run Kasey Kahne and Brad Sweet in a car with Turner Motorsports’ former sponsorship, Great Clips sponsoring the team in 2013.

No word on exactly what car Patrick will run for Turner Motorsports, who fielded three cars in the Nationwide Series in 2012.

The organization also announced that former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Cale Gale will become a crew chief for the team’s developmental program. The move is similar to a move made by former driver Paul Wolfe, who won the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship as crew chief of Brad Keselowski’s Miller Lite Dodge.

The team also announced Mike Greci will be the team’s competition director for the K&N East Series.
