Jeremy Clements Racing will be Driving with Heroes at Texas Motor Speedway

Jeremy Clements and Jeremy Clements Racing will be paying tribute to the two Canadian soldiers – Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent and Corporal Nathan Cirillo – who lost their lives as a result of two separate fatal terrorist attacks last week.  The names of both soldiers will appear on the No. 51 Crescent Companies Chevrolet for the NASCAR Nationwide Series O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend.

Clements has multiple family members in the Montreal area and throughout Canada, as well as JCR Team member who resides in Toronto.  The tragedy that struck Canada last week and the loss of both soldiers impacted the entire team.  “I have family there,” said Clements.  “We are honored to pay tribute to these fallen soldiers and we pray for their families as they go through this difficult time.”

Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent served in the Canadian military for 28 years and was working with the Canadian Armed Forces Joint Personnel Support Unit, which provides support services to the families of fallen soldiers and to ill and injured active and former military personnel and their families, when he was fatally struck by a vehicle in a parking lot on October 20, 2014 by a suspected terrorist.  Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, 24, a reservist based out of Hamilton, Ontario, was fatally shot while performing the duties of a sentry at the National War Memorial on October 22, 2014 by another suspected terrorist.   An authorized trust fund set has been set-up for Cirillo’s 6 year old son via TD Bank by Lt.-Col. Rick Kennedy, chair of the Argyll Regimental Foundation.

Fans can share their support for the families of Vincent and Cirillo via Twitter using the hashtag #DrivingWithHeroes.
