Ingersoll Rand and TriStar Motorsports Team up at NASCAR’s Home Track, Charlotte

TriStar Motorsports and Ingersoll Rand will team up once again this weekend for the Drive for the Cure 300 Presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Will Kimmel will pilot the No. 44 Ingersoll Rand Camry in his fifth and final race with TriStar Motorsports this season.

Kimmel made his second career NASCAR Nationwide Series™ (NNS) start earlier this season in the No. 44 Camry at Phoenix International Raceway. This weekend’s race at Charlotte Motor Speedway will be Kimmel’s sixth career NNS race.

“I am looking forward to racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway,” said Kimmel. “From what I have heard and watched, I’ll have a big learning curve in front of me. Charlotte will be fast so I’ll have to lean on my teammate, Mike Bliss for advice and help. I think it will be fun.”

Kimmel’s last NNS race this year will be a memorable one. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the No. 44 car will be sporting a pink and black wrap covered with names of people affected by breast cancer. The names were collected via a social media campaign hosted by Kimmel’s associate sponsor, Ingersoll Rand Power Tools. Ingersoll Rand invited fans to submit the names of loved ones to be printed on the car that will race this Friday night. More than 100 names were collected on social media using the hashtag #IRRACINGforaCure. “We see this as an opportunity for fans to honor their loved ones on a national stage in a sport they are passionate about. We are confident they will be represented well,” said D.J. Copp, motorsports program manager for Ingersoll Rand. “Ultimately, we hope this shows that real people, including our racing fans, are affected by this issue every day, and we are glad to spread awareness in whatever way we can.”

In addition to the five primary sponsorships with Will Kimmel on the No. 44 Camry, Ingersoll Rand also serves as an associate sponsor on all of TriStar Motorsports Toyota Camrys during each NNS race weekend.
