NNS: Ty Dillon Scores Kansas Lottery 300 Pole

Ty Dillon scored the pole for Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 after posting a fast time of 29.357 seconds, 183.943 mph. Dillon led all but the first of the three rounds of the day. It’ll mark the third time of the year that the 22-year-old has started a race from the pole position.

Ryan Blaney will start from the second starting spot after posting a fast time of 29.398 seconds, 183.686 mph. It’s the 11th time of the season that Blaney will start from the top-10. Today will be his second start in the Nationwide Series at Kansas.

Rolling from third will be Chris Buescher after posting a fast time of 29.445 seconds, 183.393 mph. With 28 races through, Buescher will start from inside the top-10 for his 15th time. He hopes this solid qualifying run will lead him to his second Nationwide Series victory.

There was only one on-track incident during the entire three rounds of knockout qualifying. John Wes Townley got into the wall while making a run in round two. He will roll from the 25th starting spot but will have to start at the rear.
