Hattori Racing Enterprises (HRE) will be making their fifth start in the NASCAR Nationwide Series this coming weekend at Chicagoland Speedway. Once again the team is pleased to have driver Ross Chastain behind the wheel of the No. 80 Toyota sponsored Toyota Camry. This will be Ross’ second start with Hattori Racing Enterprises and his fourth overall in the Nationwide Series.
This race is especially significant for owner Shigeaki Hattori as he, along with Goodyear and Toyota of Japan, are hosting a weekend long event with over 300 representatives from various Toyota dealerships across Japan. For most of these Toyota employees this is their first time in the US. They will be in Chicago for both the Nationwide race on Saturday and Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race.
Chastain is no stranger to the 1.5 mile tri- ovals. In 2012 while racing for SS Green Light Racing his average start was 22.7 Last year at Brad Keselowski Racing in the Camping World Truck Series his average start was 8.5.
