Jeffrey Earnhardt scored a 25th-place finish in Saturday night’s Great Clips 300 Nationwide Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Earnhardt qualified 28th and ran as high as 22nd in the super-fast race, which finished with only two caution flags.
“It wasn’t the finish we were looking for,” Earnhardt said. “The pace of the race was tremendous. With so few cautions, there were few chances to make up ground. But it was good to get another finish in. We’ll go on from here.”
Earnhardt is 18th in Nationwide Series points.
Sprint Cup regular Kevin Harvick won the race. Chase Elliott remains in the points lead.
The series moves on to Richmond International Raceway for a Sept. 5 race.
