Mike Bliss Finishes 17th: Mike Bliss and the No. 19 Tweaker Energy Shot Camry qualified19th for Saturday night’s race. When the green flag dropped, Bliss was quickly working his way up the leaderboard and by lap 7 he was scored in the 16th position. On lap 12, Bliss reported to his team that his Camry was really loose. By lap 40, he was scored in the 16th position and came back on the radio and reported that his Camry was “really, really loose.” The team made a green flag pit stop for four tires, fuel and adjustments to make the car tighter. At lap 70, Bliss was running 16th and when the caution flag was waved he pitted for four tires, fuel and an air pressure adjustment. Running 17th on lap 113, Bliss still felt like his Camry was loose and when the caution flag waved again around lap 115, he came to pit road for four tires, fuel and adjustments. With 17 laps to go, the No. 19 Camry was scored in the 19th position and would advance two positions to finish the 300-mile race in the 17th position.

 

Eric McClure Finishes 24th: Eric McClure and the No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® rolled off 25th for the Great Clips 300 at Atlanta Motor Speedway Saturday evening. Early into the race, McClure reported that his Camry wouldn’t turn and was loose in the rear. During the first round of green flag pit stops, McClure brought his No. 14 Camry to pit road for four tires, fuel and a chassis adjustment. With 55 laps complete, the No. 14 Camry was scored in the 30th position. McClure came on the radio with 53 laps to go and reported that his Camry was “way too tight.” McClure reported that his Camry had lost all rear grip with 22 laps to go and that he was just “hanging on.” With 15 laps to go, McClure was scored in the 24th position and would maintain that position to finish the race 24th,

 

Blake Koch Finishes 28th: Blake Koch and the No. 44 WWB Camry qualified 22nd for the Great Clips 300. Early into the race, Koch reported that his Camry was really loose. At lap 22, Koch was scored in the 25th position and was battling to maintain position. At lap 40 Koch was scored in the 28th position and when green flag pit stops began he came to pit road for four tires, fuel and major adjustments. On lap 70, the No. 44 Camry was running 27th and when the caution flag waved on lap 72 the team knew they could come to pit road to tighten up the car. Koch came to pit road for four tires, fuel, track-bar adjustment, air pressure adjustment and a spring adjustment. At lap 136, Koch was scored in the 25th position but his Camry continued to get looser. With 40 laps to go, the No. 44 Camry was scored in the 30th position and would advance two positions to finish the race 28th.
