Jamie Dick Narrowly Misses a Top-20 Finish at Bristol

After a rain delay and 300 laps of hard racing the No. 55 Viva Auto Group Chevrolet crossed the finish line in 21st place.  Jamie Dick and his Viva Motorsports team had quite an obstacle to overcome after qualifying 35th for the Food City 300.  Dick quickly went to work, passing cars on the high-banked .533 mile track.  The black Chevy Camaro marched all the way up to 19th place before contact with another car caused both vehicles to spin.  The Viva Motorsports crew quickly cleared the fenders from the tires and sent Dick back out on the track for the final laps.

“We had an uphill battle all night with starting so far back in the field.  But the guys gave me a good racecar and we just kept marching forward until the checkered flag,” said Jamie Dick.  “Bristol is always a demanding race and the car is beat up, but I’m glad we can get out of there with a solid finish.”
