Menard quickest in final NNS Practice

Paul Menard is showing speed once again as he posted the fastest time in NNS final practice at Loudon.

Menard has run a few races in the No. 33 car this season, including a win at Michigan in June.

Kyle Busch turned the second quickest lap in practice.  Busch is the defending winner of the race and has four NNS wins at the track.  All of his three wins this season have come on tracks one mile or shorter.

Penske Racing driver Brad Keselowski posted the third fastest lap and will make his first NNS start at Loudon since 2012 on Saturday.  Last time he drove the No. 22 car at New Hampshire, he was in victory lane.

Sprint Cup Series rookie Kyle Larson and Trevor Bayne rounded out the top five in practice.  Larson has two NNS wins on the season while Bayne has a best finish of second in Dover in late May.

Nationwide Series rookie Dylan Kwasniewski topped sixth on the speed charts, with Whelen Modified Tour driver Ryan Preece, Chris Buescher, Ty Dillon and Brendan Gaughan rounding out the Top 10.

Preece ran the Whelen All-Star Shootout on Friday and will also run tomorrow’s Whelen Modified Tour Sunoco 100, as well as the Sta-Green 200 right after.  He will also run his SK Modified at Stafford Springs Friday night where he leads the points.

Next up for the Nationwide Series will be qualifying on Saturday morning at 10:10 a.m. ET and will be shown live on FOX Sports 1.
