The Brickyard…The NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) will make its only trip of the 2013 season to Speedway, Ind. and the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) this weekend for the Indiana 250.  Nelson Piquet Jr. will make his first career NNS start at IMS this weekend.

This Week’s Camaro…The No. 30 WORX team will have chassis TSM-400 for Saturday afternoon’s race at IMS. TSM- 400 has been used once this year by Piquet Jr., at Michigan International Speedway in June, where he came home with a ninth-place finish.

Chicagoland Recap…Making his first career NNS start at Chicagoland Speedway last weekend, Piquet Jr. and his No. 30 WORX Yard Tools team looked to get comfortable and gain laps in the STP 300. Piquet Jr. started the weekend by qualifying the No. 30 WORX Yard Tools Chevrolet Camaro 21st at the 1.5-mile oval. After battling a vibration and undergoing an unscheduled green-flag pit stop during the middle portion of the race, Piquet Jr. and his Turner Scott Motorsports team earned a hard-fought 17th-place finish.

Crew Chief Chris Carrier on Indy:

“When I think about Indy, I think about history. The prestige of the Brickyard is unbelievable and it’s an honor to be able to race there. The track is a very fast 2.5-mile oval.  The key to Indy is finding the right setup for the corners and having speed for the long straightaways. I think if we are able to do these two things we can bring the WORX Chevy home with a good finish.”

Nelson Piquet Jr. on his first start at Indy:

“I am looking forward to getting back on the track and making my first career start at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend. The Brickyard has such a rich racing history and I am excited to be able to have a small part in it. It’s going to be really cool taking the green flag for the first time on Saturday afternoon. We have the same chassis for this race as we did in Michigan and we were able to bring home a top-10 finish. Hopefully we can duplicate that effort this weekend. We have WORX back on board this weekend; they have been great partners and it would be really cool to get those guys in victory lane at the Brickyard.”
