David Starr set to pilot No 55 at Indy

Viva Motorsports with Frank Cicci is pleased to announce veteran NASCAR driver, David Starr, will be in the driver’s seat of the number 55 car for the upcoming Nationwide Indiana 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

With Striping Technologies on the quarters and Chasco Constructors on the hood, the black and red Chevy Camaro will hit the famed racetrack for the first time this weekend.

“Ever since I was a little boy I’ve been watching the Indianapolis 500.  To have support giving me this opportunity to drive the Striping Technologies No. 55 Chevy Camaro at Indianapolis Motor Speedway is a dream come true,” said Starr.

Striping Technologies, L.P. of Tyler, Texas provides safety services including highway striping, traffic signals, signage, pavement marking and installation to general contractors, business owners and government agencies.  Founded in 1979, Chasco Constructors is a progressive commercial general contracting and construction management firm serving central Texas.

Additional support for the race comes from: Niece Equipment, Steely Lumber Company, Texas Pride Trucking, Build Your Future, Red Top Racing, Aubrey HealthMart Pharmacy, Blast Control, A-Affordable Office Furniture, Lance Fenton, Thunder Exhaust, Brandon Hightower Racing.com, Carlo and Alicia Lapka, and Don Hanvey Oil Interests, Inc.

This will be the first Nationwide Series start of 2013 for Starr, who has been focusing on his Camping World Truck Series campaign.  The veteran Texan brings years of experience across all NASCAR national divisions to the young team.  Starr has racked up four national series wins and nearly 50 top five finishes in his career.  This race will also mark the reunion of David Starr and crew chief Jason Miller.  The pair has worked together several times over their careers, most recently at SS Green Light Racing in 2011.  Viva Motorsports with Franck Cicci has competed in 11 of the 18 events this season and will continue with a limited schedule until additional sponsorship can be secured.
