Kyle Larson NNS Preview: Iowa Speedway

A Little Corny…The NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) heads to Des Moines, Iowa for the first of two races this season at Iowa Speedway. Although he has never logged any NNS laps at the 0.875-mile facility in America’s Corn Belt, Kyle Larson has plenty of experience in other series. Larson has competed in USAC Silver Crown races at the track, and most notably, he brought home sixth and second-place finishes in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East events last season.

This Week’s Camaro…This weekend, the No. 32 team will unload chassis TSM-323 at Iowa Speedway. This chassis most recently hit the track at Richmond International Raceway where it scored an eighth-place finish. This was also the car that Larson drove to a second-place finish in a door-to-door battle at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Stop By, Say Hi…Larson and his Turner Scott Motorsports teammate Nelson Piquet Jr. will be participating in the NNS autograph session in the concourse under the Turn 4 grandstands. The session will run from 2:30-3:10 p.m. local time on Saturday, June 8.

Larson In HD…VIZIO, Inc. and Hulu Plus return for this weekend’s race at Iowa Speedway. VIZIO, America’s #1 Large Size HDTV company, is committed to delivering the best entertainment experience with its full range of consumer electronics that combine innovative technology with clean and modern design, backed by an award-winning U.S.-based customer support team that has made VIZIO a fan favorite.

Hulu Plus offers current season and classic TV shows such as Family Guy, Modern Family, The Colbert Report, Saturday Night Live, and Community and hundreds more through connected devices, including internet-connected VIZIO HDTVs and Blu-ray players, for $7.99 per month.

Watch and Listen…The DuPont Pioneer 250 can be seen live on Saturday, June 8 on ESPN. Race coverage will begin at 7:30 p.m. EDT. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90. Additionally, Larson will be this weekend’s ESPN in-race reporter. Be sure to tune in to the broadcast to see exclusive in-car camera angles and hear Larson’s comments throughout the race.

Previous Race Recap…Larson put up a valiant fight against the ‘Monster Mile,’ earning his third-consecutive top-10 finish in the NNS. Larson overcame scorching heat and early handling issues to earn the VIZIO/Hulu Plus team a 10th-place finish at Dover International Speedway in the 5-hour ENERGY 200.

Kyle Larson on Iowa Speedway

“I’m really looking forward to Iowa, probably more than any track we’ve been to so far this year. I think it’s the track that I have the most previous experience in other series. I’ve run a lot of laps there; I ran USAC Silver Crown and two K&N races there. It’s a really racy track, a lot of fun to drive. I feel like we’ve got a lot of potential for a good race there.”
