In what was one of NASCAR's most memorable weekends, Todd Peck returned from the Phoenix International Raceway with his best career finish in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Running in Friday night's Lucas Oil 150, the Pennsylvania native finished 18th in a wreck-filled event that featured plenty of action.

Racing the No. 08 Stopain/Arthritis Foundation Chevrolet for SS Green Light Racing, Peck came to the one-mile Phoenix oval for the first time in his racing career. One of the more difficult tracks on the NASCAR circuit, conditions proved to be more difficult by new pavement on the track. This made the surface extremely slick. This resulted in nine cautions and some tempers flaring in the 150-lap feature event televised live on SPEED Channel.

Peck was most impressive avoiding the carnage. Starting in the 33rd position, Peck quickly moved to 28th by Lap 20. Without a lot of time to waste, Peck continued to move forward and was up to 27th by Lap 30. It was soon after that the first caution of the night flew. Peck reported that his truck was a little tight handling, but not too bad.

As the race continued, so did Peck's progress. By Lap 50 he had moved to 26th and by Lap 100 he was up to 21st. By this time, 11 other teams has already wrecked on the track. Peck did a masterful job of avoiding all of them as each happened in front of him.

The final 50 laps, it was more of the same. Another seven trucks wrecked and Todd, again, was able to avoid each one. At the same time, Peck was able to get better under the green and moved up to 18th at the end of the night. It capped off a career night for Peck.

"Today is Monday, and my adrenaline is still pumping from Friday night," said Peck. "There was just a lot of action happening all night, but we were able to stay out of trouble. It wasn't pretty at times, but the main thing is that our Stopain/Arthritis Foundation Chevrolet doesn't have a scratch on it from the race. We came home with a pretty good result and this gives us a lot of confidence for next season."

In front of 29,000 fans, Peck again hosted a family from the Arthritis Foundation and a child who suffers from juvenile arthritis. The family was able to attend the race with Todd, get a tour of the NASCAR garage and also watch the race from the pit. This one-of-a-kind experience was also a highlight for Peck.

"It's always pretty cool to have the Arthritis Foundation families with us," continued Peck. "I think they had just as much fun as I did. And, hopefully, we can continue those experiences next year as well."

The team will now start planning for 2013 as they continue to look for sponsors to help fill the 2013 season. Interested companies wanting to learn more about the marketing power of Peck Motorsports may visit www.peckmotorsports.com.
