Speed Racers

The WinStar World Casino 350, won by Johnny Sauter (No. 13 Seal Master-Curb Records Toyota) on Friday evening, established a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series record for the fastest-ever average race speed at 154.737 miles per hour. The race eclipsed the NCWTS record of 154.044 that was set at Michigan on July 26, 2003.

The average speed was bolstered by just two caution flags for eight laps. The two cautions tied the speedway record for fewest cautions (June race of 2009) and set a new one for least amount of caution laps (previous was 10 in June of 2009).

The previous record for the fastest average speed for a NCWTS race at Texas Motor Speedway was 153.133 miles per hour, which was set in that 2009 race that was won by Todd Bodine.
