Self, who begins his battle for NCWTS Rookie of the Year honors this season in the No. 22 AM Technical Solutions Toyota Tundra in the NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway on February 19th, appreciates the knowledge Browning brings.
“Marc has had the opportunity to work with many strong drivers during his career in NASCAR, and he knows what it takes to perform at a high level,” Self said. “I’m looking forward to working with him and learning from him.”
AM Racing has also hired Patrick McGee (formerly of Roush Fenway Racing) as truck chief. Rob Winfield will fill the role of front-end mechanic, Perry Mitchell as underneath mechanic and Zach Yager as interior mechanic and tire specialist for the No. 22 truck.
