Timothy Peters recorded a 22nd-place result in the 64-lap event at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park after rear gear problems in the early laps caused him to go to the garage for repairs. At the only road course event of the season, Peters was eighth in first practice on Saturday in his No. 17 Gaunt Collision Centres Toyota Tundra, and recorded the ninth-fastest speed in final practice. In two rounds of knockout qualifying, Peters transferred to the final round where he secured the 10th starting position. After taking the green flag on the 2.46-mile course, Peters moved into the eighth position and crew chief Marcus Richmond brought Peters to pit road on lap 7 for fuel only as part of the fuel strategy for the day. Peters worked his way back to the seventh position by the first caution on lap 15, fighting a tight condition in Turns 2 and 4. While under caution, Peters reported a severe vibration and brought his Tundra to pit road, where the team discovered a problem with the rear gear. They brought the truck to the garage area and made repairs and Peters returned to the track seven laps down in 26th-place. Peters was able to gain several positions as other drivers dropped out of the race, and he finished the day in 22nd position.
