Gray Gaulding Finishes 17th in Red Horse Racing Debut at Martinsville

In his third NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the Ridgeway, Virginia race track, seventeen-year-old Gray Gaulding recorded a 17th-place finish. Gaulding, piloting a Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra for the first time, advanced to the final round of qualifying on Saturday morning and began the 250-lap race from the 12th starting position. Within the first few laps, Gaulding fell back to mid pack in the No. 7 Krispy Kreme Toyota Tundra, where he remained for most of the day while battling a very loose-handling machine. When the checkered flag fell, Gaulding led his Red Horse Racing teammates across the finish line in the 17th position.

Start – 12

Finish – 17

Driver Points Position – 28

Gray Gaulding Quote: “The Krispy Kreme Toyota Tundra started out really good, we just lost some ground on the high side on the initial start. As the race progressed we lacked rear grip and got loose in the middle of the turns. I had to play a lot of defense getting in, and couldn’t drive it as hard as I would have liked. The truck would start out tight on new tires and then after 10-15 laps, would get really loose. A big thanks to all the Red Horse Racing guys for putting together a truck so fast for me. I had a lot of fun working with the team this week.”
